Door Installation

The door installation includes the frame and the door. If required, install a skirting and pilasters.

The first thing you should do is check the measurements of the opening and verify that the walls are perfectly poised and straight. Any discrepancies should be consulted with the man in charge of the work, the architect or client.

Installation Framework

The installation begins with the pre-assembled of the framework with the settings of the span measures. Screwed or nailed together the legs with the head, with a straight union or 45 degrees.

The frame is fixed to the wall with screws and pegs only. That is achieved with countersunk holes in both legs and the head.

Before setting the framework , it is presented in the span placing the adjustment wedges and then proceed to put the screws.

Skirting Installation

The endolado installed if requested to cover the entire width of the wall. Its installation and attachment is similar to the frame. For this purpose, it must be perfectly inserted in the recess of the frame.

Door installation

The installation of the sheet begins with the verification of the measures, so as to adjust both the height and width, leaving a clearance of two to three millimeters in circumference. Desbeides are made so the door does not come tight on the frame.

Mark the position of the hinges and the respective recesses are made, both in the frame, like the leaf. The perforations and recesses are made for the lock. The hardware is mounted on the sheet and then mount the sheet in the frame.

It makes the implementation of the third hand of protection Sikkens Filter 7 when required.

Pilaster Installation

The pilasters are placed to cover the transition between the wall and door frame by one or both sides.

Requirements:

  • The span should be with the measures outlined in the architectural plans.

  • Span must be perfectly plumb, on both sides.

  • The wall must be perfectly perpendicular to the span.

  • Span must be dry, as any moisture on it can be transferred to the frame and produce some degree of deformation.
